The Blue House In Ann Arbor

Well it was a wet and stormy art fair this weekend. Ann Arbor recieved heavy storms and lots of rain! On Friday me and Chuck set up the tent but by 1:30 the rain was pouring in our tent and since we had forgot our vinyl sides to the tent, there wasn't anything we could do! We scrambled to pull down the paintings and cover everything. Most of the painting got wet!  Everything was drenched and all we could do was pack up and go home :(. It was my own fault for not double checking I had everything. But it was sure a learning experience! I'm going to be much more organized next time! Thnaks to my husband who really helped and get it all packed up in a hurry! Well here are som pictures of the calm before the storm! As you can see it doesn't look good when you can see through the tent. I like having the white vinyl siding as a back drop!

Mitten Made at the Blue House in Ann Arbor

This were I'll be this weekend! I can't wait. I've been working so hard getting ready for it. I have lots of new paintings to show you! I also created my own version of a mitten made piece of art .
I think it turned out pretty good! I'm even considering doing more states!
This is a 12 x 12 x 1 mixed media on wood.

Hello Sunshine!

I'm feeling a little inspired today and thought of a song that makes me feel good! Its "I Can See Clearly Now" by Johnny Nash. I came up with this little piece that I think would be great to see every morning when I wake up! Sometimes its so hard in the morning and your tired and have a lot to do. Its so easy to pull the covers over your head and stay in bed. Wouldn't be great if your alarm clock played this song every morning! Maybe I'll try and figure out how I can load it into my new EVO phone and see if there is way to set it as an alarm song!

Berkley Art Bash 2010

Well the Berkley Art Bash was a huge success! For my first outdoor fair I think it went real well! It was so hot and muggy but at least it didn't rain. I met so many great people and had such a good time. Its so rewarding when you here people talk about your art and give you such great feedback! I was exhausted going into the fair. We had 2 trips back to back and to art shows in the middle of all that and I was trying so hard to get it all done. I think I accomplished that!

Trying to relax in Florida

Well I'm in Florida having a great vacation with my family. I can't help thinking while I'm here though, about all the things I need to do when I get back. The art fair will be in 5 days and i'm a little panicked at trying to get it all done! But in the meantime I will focus on the beach and my kids and have a good time.

I thought I'd share some photos of my booth set up so far. I have been practicing in my garage with these new walls I purchased. What do you think? Its not exactly how will look but its a start!
